Last year, in November 2016, the team received their first NSF I-Corps Site certificate. The NSF Innovation Corps (I-Corps) Sites program was hosted by RPI, Siena College, and SUNY Albany. The program enabled teams to validate their hypothesis over their technology concepts with potential to transition into commercialization. The Sites is modeled after the I-Corps Teams maintaining the principles of the I-Corps Curriculum.
With real-world, hands-on customer interviews, UAT prepares to submit an NSF I-Corps Teams proposal before the end of this year. The photograph from above shows, from left to right, the instructor from the Severino Center at RPI, Clint Ballinger, George Zimmerman, the Entrepreneurial Lead, Daryian Rhysing, and the Academic Lead, Prof. Asish Ghosh.
