The Solar Impulse Foundation labels our Smart Interconnecting Clamps with the "Efficient Solution Label"
Two visionaries, Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg take the success of the solar-powered flight around the world further, boosting the adoption of global profitable solutions to protect the environment and present them to decision-makers to fast-track their implementation. The Solar Impulse Foundation is selecting 1,000 solutions that protect the environment in a profitable way and are awarding them the Solar Impulse Efficient Solutions Label.
This label serves as a new and credible symbol that can be applied to products, processes and services and acts as a guarantee of quality to those looking to implement clean solutions, and affords a competitive edge to the innovators behind them. But the solution is also political and the Solar Impulse Foundation engages with processes and coalitions to encourage the development of the right conditions for such solutions to succeed and accelerate toward a more sustainable society. The World Alliance has entered in close and impactful collaboration with several international institutions, states and cities around the world to facilitate the selection, funding and implementation of the #1000solutions.
The Solar Impulse Efficient Solutions Label is one of the first Labels for positive impact businesses bringing together protection of nature and financial viability following a rigorous assessment based on a verified methodology and against several criteria performed by external independent experts. The Solar Impulse Foundation collaborated with EY, one of the world’s largest consulting firms, in order to perform a thorough review of the first version of the labeling process and recently launched a collaboration with the European Commission (EC) with the aim of creating an equivalence between the EC selection process and the criteria assessed for the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label. The aim of the equivalence is to recognize the projects selected by the EC as a part of the Solar Impulse Foundations 1000 Solutions portfolio, to provide visibility, credibility, and to further help them connect with potential stakeholders such as investors, clients, companies, and cities.
Here are the Efficient Solutions which have been already selected and labelled to be included in their 1000 Solutions Portfolio.
